About the event
We are excited to announce the official Premiere for the release of the two international social justice documentary films created by Oak Tree Films, the student-production company for Social Justice Documentary, taught by professors Hezekiah Lewis and Caleb Lucky. Oak Tree Films is presenting "Her Time is Now", which focuses on women's rights and empowerment, and "NINA", which focuses on issues that students and faculty at the Nina School for the Deaf face. Learn more about our films, our experiences throughout the film production process, and our collaborators in Siaya, Kenya at our Premiere. We invite the Villanova community to join Oak Tree Films and witness the first official screening of our two films.
Our Premiere will be a ticketed, red-carpet, semi-formal event. Tickets are on sale on the Mullen Center website, and the prices are as follows: $20 for general admission, $15 for Villanova students, and $5 for children ages under 10 and senior citizens. All general admission tickets are open-seating, first-come, first-serve. We invite the Villanova community, friends, and family to join Oak Tree Films and attend our Premiere dressed to impress.
Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the Premiere will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. Oak Tree Films will first present the screenings "Her Time is Now", "NINA", and Documentary Behind the Documentary respectively. Following the screenings, we will host a Q&A with the visionaries behind the documentaries and a light reception afterward. We are excited to see you all at the Oak Tree Films' Premiere!
